"By 2011, the PLA determined that a newer version of the Type 91 was needed to bolster its growing security force. It has an upgraded gun stabilization and thermal sight, improved reactive armor, and a missile system that mirrors some of the air defense and anti-tank capabilities of the M2A3 Bradley. The Type 91 III has a turbocharged inter-cooled diesel engine, a 2 man crew and can reach road speeds of 65 km per hour. It has a 12.7 mm coax machine gun and a 30 mm cannon."
